I'm reading Julie Kagawa's series about the iron fey. It took a bit of getting into because it really is teen fiction but I've found a steam punk-ness (if that is even a word) to it and the characters have become a bit older in my mind. Great writing.

I stumbled across this series while browsing through Amazon, it's called The Law of the Lycans by Nicky Charles. All of the books were free on Kindle, so that along with the great reviews made me click away very fast. Haven't started them yet (there's 5 books), but I'm starting them tomorrow! I LOVE A Shade Of Vampire series by Bella Forrest.

I've read those I think. Is it The Keeping, The Mating etc? If those are the books you mean, they are great, I really enjoyed them as well. Great characters!

YES! Those are the books! Glad to see another good nod to them! Well if you haven't read A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest I suggest that series (5 books in, 6th coming soon), if you haven't read every single book Elizabeth has written (they're ALL amazing).

KristinP - Wow that Guild Hunter series has a lot of books! I'm looking into that to read next, because I'll more than likely finish this series I'm starting today - in a week lol.

I'll have a look into those when I've finished my Christmas pile of books! Read and re-read all of Elizabeth's! The Nicky Charles books are a really good read, I'm also glad to have found someone else who likes them.

Hi book lovers!
I've read Beautifulo Creatures series by Kami Garcia.
Loved it!!
Another recomndation is Shade of a Vampire series by Bella Forrest.
I enjoyed these as well!
They may not be as well written as our favorite author, EH but nevertheless, they are good reads until Elizabeth writes her fans another one!!! hehehe

I just finished 2 books by Grace Draven, "Master of Crows" and "Entreat Me". They are both amazing reads, right up there with Elizabeth's books.

Loved both of those books; they read like old fashioned D&D novels.

Top 5 in no particular order (well 4 since we all know who 1 of them are)

Terry Pratchett's Discworld Novels (Not PNR but super fun reads)
Ilona Andrews Magic series (and everything else they have written)
Georgette Heyer (call me old-fashioned, I don't mind)
Seanan McGuire's October Day series (fey - 'nuf said)

Happy reading!

Have you all read any of Patricia Briggs Mercy Thompson stories? I really love them. Werewolves. Cracking characters and narrative.

Yep, have them all, too! Have you read any of her earlier books? I'd recommend Raven's Shadow and Raven's Strike

I haven't read those but I have read Dragon Bones and Dragon Blood. I read them a very long time ago - perhaps it's time for some re-reading. I'm just in the midst of some Kelley Armstrong.

I too love Nicky Charles' books, strong recommendation here. Though not of the self published kind, I have to stick to Harry Dresden, especially the early books. I still laugh through Dead Beat and I know I have read it at least a dozen times. "Dinosaurs haul ass." Yep...then I went to Chicago and saw Sue, could actually, in my warped imagination see her hauling butt through downtown Chicago...I can not help it...I love a little humor in my "gonna kick it's ass" books
